1. Parties

These Terms are an agreement between you and [ПІБ ФОП або назва компанії] ([РНОКПП / ЄДРПОУ], [адреса реєстрації]) ("we", "us") on the use of the Maccro app. By registering or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. What the App does

Maccro helps you keep a food diary: it calculates calorie and macronutrient targets, recognises food in photos, nutrition labels and dictated text, finds products by name and barcode, stores your own foods and recipes, tracks weight, water and body measurements, exchanges data with Apple Health if you allow it, reminds you to log meals, and gives a trainer access to a client's diary with the client's consent.

We may change the App's features. We will give advance notice before discontinuing paid features.

3. Not medical advice

Maccro is not a medical device and does not replace a doctor or dietitian. Targets, calculations and recognition results are general estimates for healthy adults.

Talk to a doctor before changing your diet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have diabetes, heart, kidney or thyroid disease, an eating disorder (now or in the past) or any other medical condition. If counting calories makes you anxious or causes obsessive thoughts about food, stop using it and seek professional help.

If your body mass index is below 18.5, the App does not set a weight-loss goal.

4. Accuracy

Calories and nutrients recognised from photos or text are approximate estimates: they depend on how the food was cooked, portion size and photo quality. Product data comes from open databases (Open Food Facts, USDA) and from labels entered by users and may contain errors. Check values that matter to you against the package.

5. Account

Enter truthful data — the calculations depend on it. Do not share your account with others. You can delete your account at any time: Settings → Delete account. We may block an account that breaks these Terms or is used for abuse (for example, automated requests to food recognition).

6. Trainers and clients

A trainer gets access to a client's data only with the client's explicit consent and only while the client stays connected. The trainer agrees to use this data only to work with that client, not to share it and not to keep it after disconnection.

Trainers and clients arrange their services and payment between themselves — we are not a party to those arrangements and are not responsible for a trainer's advice.

7. Pro subscription

Basic features are free, with up to 2 photo or label recognitions and 3 voice or typed descriptions per day. Pro raises the limit to 15 photos and 15 descriptions per day, uses a more accurate AI model and unlocks weekly reports and the weight chart. Pro is for personal use: automated or bulk requests to recognition break these Terms (section 5).

• Payment is charged to your App Store account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period (month or year) at the current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• If a free trial is offered, its length is shown before purchase; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• To cancel: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Maccro. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules: reportaproblem.apple.com.

A trainer with at least one connected client currently gets Pro features free of charge while that client stays connected; we may change this with advance notice.

8. Your content

Your photos, entries and comments belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only to run the App (including sending photos for AI recognition). Do not upload other people's photos without permission or any illegal content; comments between trainers and clients must be respectful.

The data of a packaged product with a barcode that you add (name, brand, barcode, nutrition facts) goes into the shared product database, and you allow us to show it to other users free of charge and without time limit, without naming you as the author (see the Privacy Policy, section 6). Enter only what is printed on the package. We may correct or remove a product with wrong or implausible data from the shared database.

9. Rights to the App

The code, design, name and logo of Maccro belong to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App. You may not copy or decompile the App or use it commercially without our consent, except for a trainer working with their own clients.

Open Food Facts product data is used under the ODbL licence (openfoodfacts.org); USDA FoodData Central data is in the public domain.

10. Liability

The App is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of every calculation. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the last 12 months. These Terms do not limit your consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

11. Apple terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its support. If the App fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, handle claims relating to the App, including third-party rights claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you are not subject to US sanctions.

12. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. First write to us at support@sinal.studio — we will try to resolve the issue within 30 days. If that fails, the dispute is heard by a court under Ukrainian law; a consumer in the EU may also go to a court in their own country.

13. Changes and contacts

We will tell you about material changes in the App at least 7 days in advance. If you disagree, you can delete your account.
